Karnataka IAS IPS: The fight between women IPS D Roopa Moudgil and IAS Rohini Sindhuri in Karnataka has now reached the court. Rohini Sindhuri has sent a defamation notice of Rs 1 crore to D Roopa Moudgil. Also demanded an unconditional written apology for loss of reputation and mental agony.
Explain that IPS D Roopa had made 19 allegations against IAS Sindhuri. D Roopa also accused Sindhuri of sharing photos with fellow IAS officers. According to media reports, in the notice issued on February 21, Rohini Sindhuri has said that the allegations made by D Roopa are false. He has committed an offense which comes under section 500 of the Indian Penal Code.
The notice directed D Roopa to apologize for the defamatory remarks. It has been said that the apology should be posted on D Roopa’s Facebook page. It has also been said in the notice that D Roopa should also delete the Facebook posts in which he made allegations against Sindhuri.
Who are Rohini Sindhuri and D Roopa
Rohini Sindhuri, originally from Andhra Pradesh, is an IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre (2009 batch). Prior to her recent transfer, she was working as the commissioner of Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. At the same time, IPS D Roopa was working as MD in Karnataka Handicrafts Development Corporation. He has also been transferred.
