Karnataka Mob Lynching: A case of lynching of a cattle trader has come to light in Mandya, Karnataka. After the lynching of the businessman, people of a particular community protested fiercely on Sunday.
According to media reports, the body of cattle trader Idris Pasha was found on the roadside under mysterious circumstances on Saturday evening in Sathanur village of Ramnagar district. Pasha’s family alleged that he was murdered by a group led by Puneeth Kerehalli.

The family of the deceased Pasha made this allegation
According to Pasha’s family, Idris Pasha was stopped by Puneeth Kerhalli on Saturday afternoon. During this time Pasha was taking the cattle. Putin, after stopping Pasha, demanded Rs 2 lakh. Pasha then said that he had bought the cattle from the market and showed the documents in this regard.
Pasha’s family alleges that he was thrashed by Puneeth Kerehalli and his group members for refusing to pay Rs 2 lakh. The family alleged that Pasha suffered grievous injuries during the assault and later succumbed to his injuries.
Police registered a case under these sections after the complaint
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against Puneet Kerehalli under IPC sections 302 (murder), 339 (wrongful restraint) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace). The police is currently waiting for the post mortem report of Idris Pasha’s body. Also looking for Puneeth Kerehalli and his associates.
