Jammu Kashmir: The army foiled an infiltration attempt in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. During this, firing took place between the intruders and the army in which an army soldier was injured. According to an Army statement, an infiltration bid was foiled in the Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir on the intervening night of 23-24 June in a joint operation by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The incident comes two days after four terrorists were killed in Kala Jungle of Machhal sector while they were trying to infiltrate into the Indian side from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Army said that an intelligence-based-counter operation ‘Resham’ was launched jointly by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Army. Army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps in a tweet said, “An infiltration bid in Krishna Ghati sector on 23/24 June was foiled in which 1 soldier sustained bullet injuries.”
