Jammu and Kashmir: Brutal murder of a 30-year-old girl in Budgam; beheaded, dismembered

Jammu Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested a man for the murder of a girl in Budgam district. It is being told that after killing the girl, the accused divided her body into several pieces and threw them at different places in Soibugh area (Jammu and Kashmir). It is being said that the girl was missing for the last four days.

According to media reports, the accused has been identified as Shabbir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Mohanpora Ompora, Budgam. Shabbir Ahmed Wani, 45, is a carpenter by profession. It is alleged that he beheaded the girl and dismembered the body.

Police recovered the pieces of the dead body

The accused Carpenter has revealed during interrogation that he killed the girl (30) and dumped her body pieces at different places i.e. Railway Bridge Ompora and Sebden. The head and other body parts of the accused have been recovered by the police at the instance of the accused.

Confirming the incident, a police officer said that the accused has been arrested. All the body parts have been recovered from different places and further investigation is on in the matter.

The girl’s brother had given an application in the police station

The girl’s brother Tanveer Ahmed Khan is reported to have given an application at the Soibug police post stating that his sister (name not given), aged 30 years, left for coaching on March 07 but did not return home . On the basis of the complaint, the police had started the investigation.
