New Delhi: Team India’s star batsman and Delhi Capitals star captain Rishabh Pant is slowly getting better after the accident. Although he will not be able to play IPL due to injury, but he is definitely missing this tournament and his team.
I’m the 13th man because of the impact rule
Before the match against Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday, Rishabh Pant made headlines by tweeting. In fact, ahead of the match, Capitals posted a tweet asking fans to pick DC’s playing XI against Lucknow Supergiants. On this, Pant tweeted and said- ‘I am the 13th player because of the impact rule, otherwise I would have been the 12th player.’

Pant was made the captain of Delhi Capitals during the 2021 season of IPL. He made his place in the playoffs of the tournament. The team topped the table with 10 wins from 14 matches, but suffered losses against Chennai Super Kings (Qualifier 1) and Kolkata Knight Riders (Eliminator). David Warner is leading the team in Pant’s absence.
Pant can come to encourage the team
Pant will continue to support his team by staying out of IPL. That’s why he is calling himself an impact player. However, Capitals coach Ricky Ponting has said that if possible, he would like to bring Pant to the stadium to encourage the team.
