Faf du Plessis won the toss and said – We are going to bowl first. There has been some dew in the warm-up matches. The four overseas players are myself, Bracewell, Maxwell and Topley. It is one of the great stadiums to play cricket. Our first target is to make it to the playoffs. We have to make sure we get off to a good start with 14 matches left in the tournament.

MI captain Rohit Sharma, who reached the field after recovering, said – With this new rule, teams are preparing themselves to chase. At the end of the day you have to play good cricket to win. We know we have to bat first here. The pitch is looking good, we just have to go in with a positive intent. The overseas player will be Tim David. MI has made IPL debut of Cameron Green.
