IPL 2023: A bad news has come out for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023. Actually the captain of the team KL Rahul is out of this entire season. Doubts still remain over his playing the World Test Championship final. He was badly injured in the match played against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After which Rahul did not participate even in the match against Chennai.
KL Rahul’s future will be decided on the results of the scan
According to the report of Cricbuzz, KL Rahul has left the camp of LSG. Some tests have been done on him in Mumbai. The results of the scan will decide Rahul’s participation in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) in London early next month. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) team monitoring his treatment has not informed all concerned, including the team management, till Thursday night but those in the know are not exactly optimistic. There is every possibility that Rahul may be out of the WTC final as well.

The Cricbuzz report also states that the nature of Rahul’s injury has only been a matter of speculation as neither the LSG management nor the BCCI has made a formal statement. It is being said that he could be suffering from hamstring or hip injury. However, its exact address will be known only after the report of his scan comes.

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul was injured during the match against RCB. While fielding on the last ball of the second over in Bengaluru’s innings, Rahul felt a stretch in his leg. He stopped running after the ball. After this injury, he was seen moaning in pain and then the team physio took him out of the field. He came to bat in the last over in the second innings as well but could not do much. He could not even walk properly in it.
