Indonesia Open Badminton: India’s star shuttler PV Sindhu has won the first round of Indonesia Open badminton. PV Sindhu avenged her previous two defeats against Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. Sindhu defeated Indonesia’s Tunjung 21-19, 21-15. This match lasted only 28 minutes.
Tunjung had earlier defeated Sindhu in the Spain Masters and in the semi-finals of the Malaysia Masters last month. But on Tuesday, the Indonesian player was trampled by Sindhu. In the first set, Sindhu won 21-19. Sindhu was on the attack in the second set as well. Sindhu gave vent to her attacking instincts, which made Tunjung commit mistakes. Sindhu also showed amazing game in net play, smash and won the second set by a margin of 21-15.
