Indonesia Earthquake: There has been a strong earthquake in Kepuluan Batu, Indonesia. According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, two earthquakes of around magnitude 6 struck Indonesia’s Kepuluan Batu on Sunday morning.

The first earthquake, measured by EMSC at magnitude 6.1, struck Kepuluan Batu early Sunday, followed a few hours later by a second quake measuring 5.8. The EMSC said the first quake was at a depth of 43 km (26.72 mi) while the second was at a depth of 40 km (24.85 mi).

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) informed that the epicenter of the first earthquake was 43 km below the earth and the epicenter of the second earthquake was at a depth of 40 km. However, there has been no loss of life or property due to this earthquake. Earthquakes occur frequently in Indonesia.

The tremors of another powerful earthquake have been felt in Indonesia on Friday this week. According to the German Research Center for Geosciences, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale. This earthquake earthquake was felt at 3:51 pm IST. The biggest reason for earthquakes in Indonesia is that it is located at a very sensitive place, where earthquakes keep coming. This place is also called Ring of Fire.
