Indian Railways: There is good news for those traveling in trains. The Ministry of Railways has made the AC-3 tier economy class fare cheaper on Wednesday. Along with this, bedding rolls (blankets and sheets) will be made available as before. Railway officials have said that the passengers who have taken tickets online or over the counter, such people will be refunded the money in addition to the ticket.
Same rent was going on for one year
According to a circular last year, the general three tier coach fare and AC-3 tier fare were made equal. But now in the new order this fare of economy class seat has been reduced from the normal AC-3.
Economy coach fare less than AC coach
Actually, the Railway Board had prepared three level economy coaches to provide cheap AC travel. The fare for these coaches is 6-7 per cent less than the normal AC-3 tier fare. Officials say that the AC-3 tier coach has 72 berths, while the AC-3 tier economy coach has 80 berths.
