Let us tell you that this is not the first time that the Twitter account of the Government of Pakistan has been blocked in India. Even before this, the official Twitter account of the Government of Pakistan has been banned in India.
Pakistan government’s Twitter account blocked for the third time in total
There has been no response from the Government of India regarding the ban on the Twitter account of the Government of Pakistan in India. Please tell that this is the third time when the Twitter account of the Government of Pakistan has been blocked in India. The Twitter account of the Government of Pakistan was blocked in July last year and again in October.
Explain that as per Twitter’s guidelines, the microblogging site takes such action in response to a valid legal demand such as a court order. In June last year, Twitter in India banned the official accounts of Pakistan embassies in the United Nations, Turkey, Iran and Egypt. In August, India banned six YouTube channels, one of which was operating from Pakistan, for spreading anti-India content and fake news.
