Relations deteriorated after the conflict in Galvan
Explain that the India-China border is called the Line of Actual Control (LAC). There has been tension here for decades. The conflict escalated in 2020 following violent clashes in the Galwan Valley. Since then, the two countries have been engaged in diplomatic and military talks to reduce tensions and resolve the border dispute. Both countries have increased their troops on the border.
The dispute led to calls for a boycott of Chinese goods in India and strained diplomatic relations between the two countries.
