New Delhi: The BCCI on Wednesday announced Team India for the T20 series against the West Indies. The senior men’s selection committee has named India’s squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against the West Indies to be played in the Caribbean Islands and Florida, USA. The captaincy of the team has been handed over to Hardik Pandya. While Surya Kumar Yadav has been made the vice-captain. At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma, who performed brilliantly in the IPL, got a place in the team. Although Rinku Singh has not got a chance.

Suryakumar Yadav has been made the vice-captain in the team. Most of the faces including Ishaan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Shubman Gill are old. In bowling, Akshar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar have been included. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Verma and Mukesh Kumar are yet to debut. Jaiswal is included in India’s Test squad. Virat Kohli and regular skipper Rohit Sharma have been rested.

The five-match T20 series will begin on August 3. The final will be played on 13 August. All matches will be played from 8 pm. Indian team has reached West Indies for Test, ODI and T20 tour. The first Test will be played from 12 July.
