New Delhi: After the Ahmedabad Test, Team India has got ready for the ODI series starting from March 17. The first match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of the BCCI selection committee headed by Shiv Sunder Das has been called. The main agenda of the meeting is the replacement of Shreyas Iyer, who has been ruled out of the ODI series against Australia. Many names are doing the rounds as Iyer’s replacement, but according to InsideSport’s report, Sanju Samson is likely to get the call for the ODI series. He can be added to the team. Initially they were not included.
Shreyas Iyer’s IPL is also in danger
Shreyas Iyer missed the ODI series in Sri Lanka and the first Test against Australia due to a back injury. However, after 15 days of rehab at the NCA, he was called back for the second Test in Delhi without a chance. After this, once again he complained of back pain in the fourth Test. So his fate in IPL 2023 also hangs in balance. Shreyas will go to NCA for rehab.
