New Delhi: In the third Test played between India and Australia in Indore, Australia registered a resounding victory by 9 wickets. As soon as the third day’s play started, the Australian batsmen made the match their name by hitting fours and sixes. After winning this match, Australia has qualified for the final of the World Test Championship, while Team India would like to make way for the final by winning the next match. After this crushing defeat, Captain Rohit Sharma made a big statement on Team India’s batting. Rohit said that India’s batsmen did not look brave against Australia’s spinners.
you have to be brave
Rohit said after the match- โWhen you are playing on challenging pitches, you honestly have to be brave.โ โI think we allowed their bowlers to bowl at a particular spot. Nathan Lyon was fantastic. He kept challenging us, hitting the right lengths. When the bowler is doing that, you have to come out with your plans and try different things. Be a little brave too, which I think we weren’t.”

Innings like Shreyas Iyer needed
Rohit said Shreyas Iyer, who scored 26 off 27 balls in the second innings, showed the rest of India’s batsmen how to bat in the conditions. Rohit said in the post-match press conference, โWhen you are playing on pitches like this, you need an innings like Shreyas Iyer.โ ‘Someone has to step up, someone has to get the bowlers down. It can’t always happen that batsmen will score 100 runs, 90 runs, 80 runs, you have to play those kind of cameos. โIf one of the top batsmen can get a big score, it is a plus point for the team. When you know the pitch, you need to go out there and play Iyer’s way.
