There were attempts to ban Jamaat-e-Islami long ago. The Supreme Court had said that you cannot ban a political party and it is everyone’s right to form a political party.

He said that as far as hooliganism is concerned, it is an individual act. But a political party cannot be banned. If such a step is taken, I am sure this same court will declare it invalid within a day.
