IMD issued Rain Alert: It may rain in many states of the country in the coming days. Talking about North India, the scorching sun is troubling the people here, but the winds blowing every now and then have kept the weather cool. Now according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain in many states of Bihar today i.e. on Friday. Apart from this, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Himachal Pradesh and the capital Delhi.
Meteorological department issued alert in these districts
People are expected to get some respite from the heat in some areas of North-Western and South-Western Bihar. On Friday, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain at some places in 11 districts including Chhapra, Motihari, Aurangabad, Gopalganj.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be movement of clouds with strong winds in East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Rohtas, Arwal and Aurangabad within 24 hours. Light drizzle is also expected in some areas of these districts. The weather is likely to remain dry in other parts of the state.
Weather will deteriorate between March 13 and 18
Between March 13 and 18, the weather will deteriorate over the central, eastern and southern parts of the country. Mercury may fall in the plains of North India. Firstly, rain with lightning and thunder would be seen over South Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada and later over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and North Karnataka. There is a possibility of hailstorm in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra on 15 and 16 March. This situation can prove to be disastrous for the crops. However, the heat stress will subside during the course of the week from most parts of the country.

The Meteorological Department said that light to moderate rain and snow have been predicted at isolated places in the middle and higher hills of Himachal Pradesh on March 12 and 13. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi next week. A fresh Western Disturbance affecting the Western Himalayan region next week may bring rains to Delhi as well. IMD’s forecast indicates the possibility of rain from March 14 to 16. The sky will be cloudy next week.
