Home Minister Amit Shah praised the decision of the Election Commission, took a dig at Uddhav Thackeray

New Delhi: Uddhav Thackeray has got a jolt from the Election Commission. The name and election symbol of the Shiv Sena party, Dhanush Baan, is given to the party led by Eknath Shinde. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said those licking the feet of people with opposite ideologies have found which side is the truth after the Election Commission declared the faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as the real Shiv Sena.

Without naming Uddhav Thackeray, Amit Shah once again reiterated that there was no consensus on sharing the chief minister’s post in the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections. The Shiv Sena broke its alliance with the BJP after the results of the 2019 assembly elections were declared, claiming that the BJP had promised to share the CM’s post with it.

Without taking Thackeray’s name, he said, “Those who shout with the help of lies have come to know on whose side the truth is today.” The Election Commission on Friday allotted the name ‘Shiv Sena’ and its election symbol of bow and arrow to the group led by CM Shinde. A few days ago a hearing was held in front of the Election Commission regarding the claim on the party and election symbol. In the process, Uddhav Thackeray suffered a major setback.
