Yoga Day 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the yoga program organized at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, on the occasion of World Yoga Day 2023. During this, a Guinness World Record was created. For the first time in the world, representatives of 135 countries did yoga together. Last time representatives of 114 countries did yoga together.
Guinness World Records official Michael Emprik handed over the world record certificate to Ruchira Kamboj, India’s ambassador to the UN.

Yoga is copyright free – PM Modi
In the program, PM Modi said that yoga is free from copyright, patent, royalty. It’s a way of life. You can practice yoga alone or in a group. Can be learned from a teacher or can be self-taught. It really is universal.

PM Modi on three-day US tour
PM Modi is the state guest of US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. He reached New York on Tuesday. On the second day of the three-day tour, he led the 9th International Yoga Day programme. PM Modi was accompanied by UN President Csiba Korisi, Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Several other UN officials, diplomats and prominent personalities also attended the event.
Dressed in a white yoga T-shirt and trousers, PM Modi thanked people for attending the event. He said that I am happy to see all of you. I thank you all for coming. After this PM Modi left for Washington.
