Global Leader Approval: Narendra Modi has once again topped the list of popular leaders by beating the world leaders on the world stage. The Indian PM topped the list of most popular leaders with an approval rating of 78%, while US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak followed him.
According to a new survey conducted by Morning Consult, PM Narendra Modi has topped the list of most popular leaders across the world. Interestingly, the survey also revealed that out of 22 leaders of major countries, only four world leaders have an approval rating of more than 50 percent in their countries.

Why is PM Modi the most popular leader?
A Morning Consult survey has cited change in governance in India as the most important reason for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity. The survey revealed that the inclusive, development-oriented and corruption-free governance of the Narendra Modi government has increased the popularity of PM Modi.
Apart from this, the effort made by PM Modi to reach the last mile of various services and schemes for the public has also increased his popularity. The Ayushman Bharat scheme launched by the Modi government was recently praised by The Lancet. Explain that The Lancet is considered to be at the top of the health magazine. According to the magazine, the Ayushman Bharat scheme has revolutionized the health sector in India.
Rating of world leaders after Modi
Modi is followed by Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador and Australian PM Anthony Albanese, the Morning Consult survey said.
According to the survey, Italy’s PM Giorgia Meloni got a 49 percent approval rating, followed by US President Joe Biden with 42 percent. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau won 39 percent of the vote, while British PM Rishi Sunak had an approval rating of 33 percent. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who is hosting the G7 summit in 2023, had a rating of 31 percent.
