Washington: America’s Georgia Assembly has passed a resolution condemning Hinduphobia. In which it was said that Hinduism is one of the largest and oldest religions in the world. It has over 1.2 billion followers in over 100 countries. This religion believes in diverse traditions and belief systems with values of mutual respect, peace.
During this, the opponents of Hinduism were also condemned. In this way, Georgia is the first state in America, where legislative action has been taken against Hinduphobia.
Let us tell you that Forsyth County in the suburbs of Atlanta is a place where the number of Indian American community is high. The resolution was introduced in the Assembly by Forsyth County Representatives Lauren McDonald and Todd Jones.

25 MPs gathered on Advocacy Day
The initiative was initiated by the Atlanta chapter of the Coalition of Hindus in North America (CoHNA). In this regard, the first Hindu Advocacy Day was organized on March 22 at the Georgia State Capitol. It was attended by about 25 MPs from both Republican and Democrat parties.
CoHNA Vice President Rajeev Menon said it was a great honor to work with Rep. McDonald and Rep. Jones, as well as other lawmakers. He passed this county resolution.
