G20: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrev are on a visit to India for the G-20 summit. On Thursday, there was a meeting between the two leaders for about 10 minutes. This is the first time since the start of the Ukraine-Russia war, that the equivalent leaders of the two countries came face to face.

Foreign Minister said – this happened in the meeting

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that I urged Russia to withdraw irresponsible decisions and not to implement the new treaty. Also told that I told the Russian Foreign Minister that it does not matter what is happening in the world and in our relations.

He said the US would always be ready to engage and act on strategic arms control, as the US and the Soviet Union did at the height of the Cold War.

America wants peace in Ukraine

He said that the US is in favor of helping Ukraine through diplomacy and ending the war. But President Putin showed no interest in it. He says that there is nothing worth talking about in this.

Foreign Minister Antony Blinken said that it is a matter of concern if China is considering providing lethal military assistance to Russia. Many partner countries have expressed their concern on this issue.
