PM Modi in France: Prime Minister Modi is on a visit to France. On Friday, he arrived at the Elysee Palace in Paris, where he was received on the red carpet by President Emmanuel Macron. This was followed by delegation level talks with Emmanuel. On this occasion, PM Modi said that we are celebrating the completion of 25 years of our strategic partnership. We are making a roadmap for the next 25 years based on the strong foundation of the last 25 years. For this, bold and ambitious targets are being set. The people of India have resolved to make themselves a developed nation. We see France as a natural partner in this journey.

Describing defense ties as the foundation of Indo-French relations, PM Modi said that France is an important partner in ‘Make in India’ and ‘Self-reliant India’. The Prime Minister said that together we want to meet the needs of not only our own but also of other friendly countries, be it submarines or ships of the Indian Navy.

Important agreement between Indian Oil and Total Company of France

PM Modi said that I welcome the long-term agreement between Indian Oil and France’s Total Company to export Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), this will help in achieving our goal of clean energy transition.

UPI will soon be launched in France

Prime Minister Modi announced that the government will soon launch India’s Unique Payment Interface (UPI) in France. He also said that we will open a new Indian Consulate in the city of Marseille. We welcome the decision to grant long term visas to people of Indian origin studying in France. I invite French universities to set up their campuses in India. The Prime Minister said that Indian athletes are excited to participate in next year’s Paris Olympics.

Macron said – We will send 30 thousand students to India

On the other hand, French President Macron said that we cannot forget the youth. By 2030, we want to send 30,000 French students there (India). For young Indians who want to pursue higher education in France, we want to have a favorable visa policy. He appreciated the Punjab Regiment participating in the Bastille Day Parade.

PM Modi expressed happiness over the successful launch of Chandrayaan

Appreciating the launch of Chandrayaan 3, PM Modi also talked about the agreements between the space agencies of the two countries. PM Modi said that the whole of India is excited about the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 today. This is a great achievement of our scientists. India and France have a long and deep cooperation in the field of space. There are new agreements between our space agencies.
