New Delhi: Farmers in Haryana’s Kurukshetra ended their protest on Tuesday. Farmer leaders say that the government has agreed to their demands. After this the farmers started celebrating. Farmers were protesting demanding minimum support price (MSP) on sunflower seeds.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said – We are ending our protest. Closed routes will open today. We were protesting so that our crop should be bought at MSP. We will continue to fight for MSP across the country. Our leaders will also be released soon. Also, the cases filed against them will be withdrawn.

Tikait further said – We had asked for that rate, which belongs to the Government of India. If we need a big movement for the MSP Guarantee Act, we will implement it. He further said- We do not work to bow down any government, this is an agreement between the government and the farmers.
