Karnataka: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on Karnataka tour on 12 March. Where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 16,000 crore. Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway. Elections are going to be held in Karnataka this year.
The Prime Minister will reach Mandya around 12 noon. Where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of road projects. After this, he will dedicate IIT Dharwad in Hubli-Dharwad to the country at around 3.15 pm. In 2019, he had laid its foundation stone.

Bangalore-Mysore distance will be covered in quarter to four hours
PM Modi will also dedicate the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway to the nation. The 118 kilometer long project has been built at a total cost of about Rs 8480 crore. Now traveling from Bangalore to Mysore will take just 3 hours to 75 minutes.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Mysuru-Khushalnagar 4-laning highway.
Spread over 92 kms, the project will be built at a cost of around Rs 4,130 crore. The project will play a vital role in boosting Kushalnagar’s connectivity with Bengaluru. Now this distance can be covered in just two and a half hours.
Dharwad IIT is made of 850 crores
The foundation stone of the IIT to be started in Dharwad was laid by PM Modi in February 2019. Built at a cost of over Rs 850 crore, the institute can offer 4-year B.Tech, inter-disciplinary 5-year BS-MS, MTech and Ph.D.
Will inaugurate the world’s longest platform
PM Modi will dedicate to the nation the world’s longest railway platform at Shree Siddharudha Swamiji Hubli station. It is also recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. It is a 1507 meter long platform. About 20 crore rupees have been spent on this.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects of Hubli-Dharwad Smart City. Rs 520 crore will be spent on this. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Jaidev Hospital and Research Center.
