Delhi Liquor Scam: Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been sent on 5-day remand by Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi Liquor Policy case. Earlier in the afternoon, he was produced by the CBI in the court. Where both the sides fiercely argued for half an hour. After arguments, the court reserved its decision.

- The CBI said that Manish Sisodia could not answer the change in the commission percentage, but the Supreme Court has made it clear that if the person in front does not speak what you want to hear, then it is not the basis for remand. Sisodia’s counsel said that three notices were served during the probe, out of which two have joined the questioning but alleged that they are not responding.
- The CBI said that these figures were found from Manish Sisodia’s computer, from which it was found that kickbacks of 5%, 12% were found in him. The notes of the Group of Ministers were also recovered by the CBI from a computer. CBI further stated that suddenly the commission was increased from 5 to 12 crores. - Court asked CBI what is the need of remand? CBI said Manish Sisodia was not giving any straight answer in this matter, Vijay Nair was very active and sought bribe from a group of a liquor manufacturer to get desired change in policy.
- CBI said in the court that inquiry is necessary for effective investigation, CBI said that Manish Sisodia moved the cabinet note, in which public response was taken for the new excise policy. After that there was talk of making changes for retail and wholesale shops through the Group of Ministers. CBI said Manish Sisodia created a new file and then got it passed.

On Monday morning, Kejriwal hit back by tweeting that the CBI did not have evidence against Sisodia. Many officers were against his arrest. Sisodia has been arrested under political pressure. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party protested across the country against the arrest of Sisodia.

CBI called Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for questioning. The Deputy CM reached Rajghat before reaching the CBI office for questioning. After staying there for some time, he reached the CBI office doing a road show. Sisodia reached the CBI office 10 minutes late than the scheduled time.
Where he was interrogated for eight hours throughout the day. The CBI did not seem satisfied with the questions asked during this period. That’s why the CBI took Sisodia into custody on Sunday night at 9 pm.
