An airline official told news agency NIA that the Doha-bound IndiGo flight was diverted at Pakistan’s Jinnah International Airport in Karachi due to a medical emergency. Flight was going to Dubai International Airport
The flight was going from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Dubai International Airport. The pilot had sought permission for an emergency landing due to a medical emergency. It is being said that the passenger died even before the plane landed in Karachi.
According to preliminary reports, Abdullah, a 60-year-old Nigerian passenger, died before the plane could land in Karachi. Flightaware, which tracks flights, reported that Indigo flight 6E 23 had taken off from IGI airport at 8:41 am and was scheduled to land at Dubai airport at 11 am.
