Odisha News: A surprising news has come out from Odisha. On Tuesday, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer shot himself with an AK-47 in the bathroom of his office in Raighar area. Due to this he died. The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar. He was posted as 2IC in 4th Battalion of CRPF.
The reasons for the suicide are yet to be confirmed. The police is probing the matter. CRPF is also ascertaining the reason behind the suicide.
This is the second case of suicide in a week
This is the second case of a CRPF officer being happy within a week. A CRPF sub-inspector Kishanbhai Rathod shot himself with his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle, on April 19 at the CRPF premises near Chiloda village in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar district. The sub-inspector was working as a guard in the campus.
Four soldiers lost their lives in Bathinda Military Station
On April 12, there was firing in the mess at Bathinda Military Station in Punjab, in which four soldiers were killed. After this, a constable named Desai Mohan was taken into custody. SSP Bathinda Gulneet Khurana said that after continuous interrogation in the Bathinda Military Station firing incident, we found that a weapon was stolen and it was used to kill the jawans. A man from the Artillery unit was detained in the case and during interrogation he confessed to the police that he had stolen the INSAS rifle and killed his four comrades. In the initial investigation, the matter of personal enmity is coming to the fore.
