Cheetah Project: On Saturday, 12 cheetahs brought from South Africa were released in Kuno National Park in Sheopur district. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the second batch of 12 cheetahs at Kuno National Park, their new home.
The CM of Madhya Pradesh said that MP has received a gift on Mahashivaratri. I thank PM Modi from the bottom of my heart, this is his vision. Twelve cheetahs will be rehabilitated in Kuno, taking the total number to 20. The cheetahs that came earlier have now adapted to the situation.

Shivraj Singh said that PM Modi’s vision is to protect the environment and wildlife which is showing the way to the world. Project Cheetah is an example of this. I would like to congratulate the entire team for bringing the cheetahs safely. Let us tell you that on Saturday morning, the Mi-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force landed in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh with the second consignment of 12 Cheetahs.

8 leopards were brought from Namibia in the first batch
Explain that in the first batch, eight cheetahs were brought to India from Namibia. They were released in Kuno National Park on September 17 last year on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Please tell that out of these 12 cheetahs released in Kuno National Park today, 5 are females. South Africa’s Forest Department tweeted showing how these cheetahs were darted and shifted into special boxes before being sent to Kuno National Park.
Organization of counseling workshop on February 20 in Kuno
It is being told that a consultation workshop will be organized in Kuno National Park on February 20 with international cheetah experts, scientists, veterinarians and forest officials. Let us tell you that under the ambitious cheetah reintroduction program of the central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight cheetahs, including five females, from Namibia to Kuno on his 72nd birthday on September 17 last year.
