Vivek Chandra reports from Pakur with Nandkishore: A case of shame to humanity has come to light in Pakur, Jharkhand. 10 boys gang-raped a minor girl who was returning after seeing the fair here. After getting the information of the incident, the police took quick action and arrested 4 accused.
Gangraped by taking them to the forest
The incident is of late night of 25 February. According to the information, the incident took place when a football fair was organized in a village of the minor girl’s Simlong OP area. According to Pakur SDPO Ajit Kumar Vimal, the victim girl informed the police about the incident on February 27.
Police reached home informed about the incident
The victim told in her statement that she was watching the fair till late night. It was about to dawn, so she left for her home. Seeing him alone on the way, some boys chased him and forcefully took him to a nearby forest. Everyone gang-raped her in turn.
She told that she kept crying and screaming but those poor people did not have mercy. After gang-raping everyone left the girl there and ran away. Somehow reached her home and then told the police about the incident.
Police took quick action
SDPO Ajit Kumar Vimal told News24 that as soon as the girl informed about the incident, we immediately formed a team. This team investigated and nabbed a suspected criminal. On strictly questioning, he gave information about the matter. On his tip three more boys are arrested.
All these three arrests were made from Barhet police station area of Sahibganj. All have been sent to jail. In this case, a case has been registered against 8 named and 2 unknown in the case. After the arrest of the four accused, the police are continuously conducting raids to nab the rest of the culprits. There is an atmosphere of fear in the area after the incident here.
