Bengal Panchayat Elections: Trinamool worker has been shot dead in West Bengal. The family of the deceased has alleged that the incident was carried out due to ‘political enmity’. The matter is of South 24 Parganas district of Bengal.
Police informed that a Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker was shot dead in South 24 Parganas district on Saturday. The victim, Jiyarul Molla, was found lying with bullet injuries on the roadside in a village in Basanti. Police officials said that after being taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

The family of deceased Jiyarul Mollah claimed that he was a member of the Youth Trinamool Congress and was facing constant threats. According to the police, the victim’s family believes that he was murdered due to their political enmity. The matter is under investigation.
Jiyarul Molla’s son said that my father had many enemies. They had political enmity. He was threatened several times by other factions of the party. He used to get threatening calls on the phone from different numbers. My father was a member of TMC youth wing. They used to pressurize my father to join their group.
