Awantipora Encounter: Security forces have got great success in Jammu and Kashmir. Two days ago, the killer of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma in Pulwama was killed in an Awantipora encounter. The slain terrorist has been identified as Aqib Mushtaq Bhat.
ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told that the slain terrorist Aqib Mustaq Bhat was initially associated with Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist organization, now he was working with TRF. The slain terrorist had killed Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma in Pulwama two days back.

The encounter took place in the early hours of Tuesday
Let us inform that there was an encounter of terrorists with a joint team of security forces in Pulwama in South Kashmir in the early hours of Tuesday (Awantipora Encounter). Security forces killed terrorist Aqib Mustaq Bhat in the encounter. The incident is of Padgampora Avantipora area. Two more terrorists are feared to be trapped here. At present, the operation of the security forces is going on.
According to information, two army personnel were injured during the encounter with the terrorists. Both the injured jawans have been admitted to 92 Base Army Hospital in Srinagar. Police said the body of the slain terrorist is yet to be recovered.
It is being told that around midnight a joint team of police and army launched a search operation in Padgampora. As the joint team of forces moved towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists opened fire on the security forces. After this, the security forces retaliated and killed the terrorist.
