Australian Student Visa: The dream of studying in Australia and then working there will not be easily fulfilled now. Many universities in Australia have banned the admission of students from five Indian states (including the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir) with immediate effect.
While according to a recent order, two big universities of Australia have also stopped the applications of these Indian states by issuing notices. According to Australia’s newspaper Sydney Morning Herald, it has been said that these students come here on student visa and then start working.
These two institutions recently banned
Two leading Australian institutions, Federation University in Victoria and Western Sydney University in New South Wales, have decided to stop recruiting students from Indian states amid a rise in the number of fake visa applications. Also the applications are being rejected. It is being argued that students from these Indian states come to work by misusing student visas.

Australia’s Home Department is monitoring
According to Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald, the institutes have issued instructions to their education agents not to admit students from Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir (Union Territory). In a letter to Federation University education agents, Australia’s Department of Home Affairs is seeing a significant increase in student visa applications from some Indian regions that are being rejected.

A media report said that last month Australian universities, Victoria University, Edith Cowan University, Torrance University and Southern Cross University also refused admission to applicants from some Indian states. Here also there was an allegation that people are coming to do jobs in the name of student visa.
