When the second Test of the Ashes 2023 begins at Lord’s from June 28, Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon will join an exclusive club of cricketers who have played 100 consecutive Test matches. Through the upcoming Lord’s Test, Lyon will join the club of playing 100 or more consecutive Tests. He will be the sixth and third Australian player to do so. He will also become the first bowler to do so.
Other members of the club are former England opener Alastair Cook, Australian duo of Allan Border and Mark Waugh, legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar and current England men’s Test coach, former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum.
