New Delhi: Although English batsman and former captain Joe Root is known for his soft nature, but during the third Test starting on Thursday, he surprised cricket lovers with his different form. Travis Head was batting brilliantly scoring 39 runs in 74 balls. So Chris Woakes came and threw the third ball a little short. Head was defeated on this and as soon as he put the bat, the ball took the edge of the fielder in the slip which flew towards the root. Root immediately sprung into action and went back a little and caught the ball near the chest. Root came in a huff after catching this catch and he suddenly hit the ball in the ground. Wicketkeeper Johnny Bairstow was also surprised to see him doing this.

Why did Joe Root do this?
