Sameer Wankhede: Former Zonal Director of Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Sameer Wankhede has got a big relief from the Delhi High Court. On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court stayed his arrest till May 22. Along with this, permission has been given to approach the Bombay High Court for further relief.
Wankhede had moved the Delhi High Court seeking a cross FIR against NCB Deputy DG Gyaneshwar Singh. He had claimed that the allegations leveled against him by the NCB are false and misleading.

CBI called for questioning in Mumbai tomorrow
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued summons to Sameer Wankhede. Wankhede has been ordered to appear before the agency in Mumbai on Thursday, May 18. Recently, the CBI also raided the locations of Wankhede. Meanwhile, a case was also registered for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 25 crore to implicate Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case. Later the bribe amount was fixed at Rs 18 crore.

Know, what is in the CBI’s FIR?
The CBI’s FIR copy states that Arbaaz Merchant confessed to possessing charas before the NCB, but was let off. Siddharth Shah, who allegedly provided charas to Arbaaz Merchant, was also released. The objectionable chat between the two was ignored. The accused were brought in a private vehicle. The private vehicle belonged to KP Gosavi (independent witness). At the behest of Sameer Wankhede, Gosavi conspired to extort Rs 25 crore from Aryan Khan’s family by posing as an NCB employee. Although the deal was done for 18 crores. In this, Rs 50 lakh was taken as advance.
The probe agency said that Wankhede’s assets are much more than his income. They are also not able to give details of the expenses of foreign trips. Sameer is doing business of selling watches in association with a private firm.
Wankhede said – getting punished for being a patriot
Wankhede alleged on Saturday that he was being punished for being a patriot. Wankhede’s statement came after the CBI raided his residence and other premises on Friday. The CBI on Friday carried out searches at 29 locations across the country following an alleged corruption case against him and three others linked to the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case. Wankhede had raided Cordelia Cruz and arrested actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in an alleged drug case.
