Will Ajit capture NCP like Shinde?
There are many similarities between Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde. Both are rebel leaders of their party. Shinde had rebelled when Uddhav Thackeray was the chief minister. The latter captured the party and the trail. Now Ajit Pawar is also on the path of Shinde.
In 2019, Shinde had toppled the Mahavikas Aghaadi government
In 2019, the Shiv Sena ended its alliance with the BJP and formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra with the Congress and the NCP. The government had fallen last year after Eknath Shinde broke the party and joined hands with the BJP to form a new government.
Sharad Pawar and Ajit have their own claims
Describing his leadership as the real NCP, Ajit Pawar has won the support of senior party leaders like Praful Patel, Chhagan Bhujbal and Dilip Walse Patil. However, Sharad Pawar has also staked his claim as the leader of the real NCP and has expelled several senior leaders for anti-party activities.
