New Delhi: Russia has once again fired missiles at Ukraine. Ukrainian officials said on Thursday that Russia had launched several missile and drone attacks on the country. Air raid sirens were heard across the country. People have gone to the shelter home. Russia has targeted power grids with missile and drone attacks since October, causing widespread blackouts and other outages during the winter. The latest missile strike came hours after an overnight drone strike.
A Reuters reporter heard the sound of a missile flying at low altitude about 30 km from Kyiv. “At least six Tu-95 (warplanes) took off primarily from the Murmansk area and fired missiles,” Air Force spokesman Yuri Ihnat said on national television.
He said, “We expect that more than 30 missiles are theoretically visible in different areas. Air defense is working.”

Earlier Ukrainian military spokesman Serhiy Cherevaty told the press that the army withdrew to prevent loss of life in the city of Soledar. He said the troops have returned to their earlier defense positions.
