Agniveer Bharti 2023: The government on Tuesday made a major change in its new Agneepath scheme for the recruitment of soldiers in all three services. Eligibility rules have been changed by the army to participate in the Agneepath recruitment process. Now those doing ITI and Polytechnic will also be able to apply for technical branch.
Know what has changed
- The upper age limit has been increased to 23 years from 2022.
- Induction of pre-skilled youth, ITI/Polytechnics graduates in technical category.
- Vocational training and special motivation will be given to skilled candidates.
- Candidates who have passed class 10 can apply to be recruited as an agniver (general duty in all arms).
- Candidates who have passed class 12 can apply for technical posts in all arms.
- Those who have ITI-Polytechnic degree can apply to technical branch of army.
- Candidates passed class 12 with at least 60 percent marks can apply for the position of an Engivar Clerk.
- Whereas, they who are at least class 8 passed can apply for the Engineer Tradesman posts.
- Physical Fitness and Medical Test is mandatory for the candidates to appear for an Online Common Entrance Test.
- Government announced ‘Seva Raha Package’, under which ‘Agniveers’ will get an amount of ₹ 11.71 Lakhs after completion of four years. The amount will be exempted from income tax limits.
Know the essential qualifications
It was told in the notification that for Agniveer (General Duty (All Arms), class 10th pass candidates can apply. Along with this, 12th pass candidates can apply for Agniveer in Technical. Whereas, for Agniveer (Store Keeper) It is necessary to have 12th pass with minimum 60 percent marks. Apart from this, candidates from 8th pass to 10th pass can apply for tradesman posts. Now after the new change, ITI-Polytechnic pass candidates also get a chance to apply. They have to apply in the technical branch of the army.
Registration started for Agniveer recruitment
Let us tell you that on February 16, the Indian Army had issued a notification for recruitment under the Agneepath scheme. It said that registrations have started for the recruitment of Agniveers. Candidates who want to join the army as Agniveer can apply by visiting the official website of the Indian Army at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates have time till March 15, 2023, to apply. Along with this, the selection process will be conducted on April 17, 2023.
