Pakistan Cylinder Blast: A major accident took place in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Saturday morning. The gas cylinder of a vehicle exploded near the Government College of Commerce in Bhalwal tehsil of Punjab’s Sargodha district, officials said. This killed seven people and injured 14 others.
Rescue 1122 control room has informed about the accident. Told that seven people died on the spot. While 14 others were injured, seven of whom are in critical condition. All were admitted to Bhalwal Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital. Five of the dead have not been identified.

According to officials, Rescue 1122 received information about a cylinder blast at 8:35 am. Nine ambulances, three fire engines and one rescue vehicle were dispatched to the site within seven minutes. It was reported that the Hiace vehicle of Gara Brothers Transport caught fire due to gas leakage from a petroleum gas cylinder. The injured who were taken to the hospital included two children aged four and 12, as well as two elderly men in their 50s.
At least five, including three children, were killed and seven others injured in three separate gas cylinder blasts across the country last month.
