Fierce fire at Mexico’s immigration center, 39 migrants killed, 29 injured, Home Ministry orders probe

Mexico Fire: 39 people have died and 29 others have been injured in a massive fire in Mexico. The fire started at an immigration detention center in northern Mexico. This center is near the US border. Mexico’s attorney general has ordered an investigation into the accident.

Actually, there is an immigration center in Ciudad Juarez city of Mexico. In which 68 migrants from Cuba were living apart from Central and South America. The center is also a major crossing point into the US. Migrants take entry in America through here.

Monday night fire at 10 o’clock

The National Migration Institute (INM) has issued the statement on Tuesday. According to INM, the incident took place on Monday night at 10 pm.

Queue of police, fire and ambulance

According to eyewitnesses, suddenly smoke started rising at 10 pm on Monday night. Immediately police help was sought. Police cars, ambulances and other emergency vehicles are lined up in the area. The dead bodies have been removed. The injured have been admitted to hospitals.

Home Ministry expressed grief over the deaths

The Home Ministry has expressed grief over the deaths. The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed. Mexico’s Prosecutor General has opened an investigation into the incident. They have also reached the spot.
