Pakistan News: The effect of cyclonic storm Biparjoy has started appearing on the neighboring country of Pakistan. The half-water crisis has begun. Heavy rains coupled with strong winds have thrown life out of gear in northwest Pakistan. Many trees, electric poles fell. Houses collapsed. Due to this, at least 27 people including eight children died. Officials gave this information on Sunday.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority spokesman Taimur Ali Khan said that roofs and walls of people’s houses collapsed in this disaster. 12 people have died by being buried under the debris. At the same time, 15 people died in Bannu district due to the storm that hit four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province late on Saturday night. Which includes five siblings aged two to 11 years.
He said that more than 140 people were injured and more than 200 animals died. Authorities have declared a state of emergency in all four districts.

Last year, Pakistan was hit by summer monsoon rains that inundated a third of the country, damaged two million homes and killed more than 1,700 people. Meanwhile, officials said on Sunday that a cyclone is approaching Pakistan and India from the Arabian Sea.

Fishermen advised to stay away from sea

In Sindh province, a statement from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority issued a warning of heavy rain and wind speed up to 100 kilometers per hour this weekend. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till June 17 till the system dissipates.
