Prithviraj Sukumaran: A big news related to Malayalam industry star Prithviraj Sukumaran has come to the fore. It is being told that the actor was badly injured during the shooting of a film, after which he was admitted to the hospital and today the actor is to be operated.

South industry actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has been badly injured during the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Vilayath Buddha’. Sukumaran was shooting for an action sequence on the sets of the film at Marayoor in Idukki when he got injured. As per reports, the incident took place around 10.30 am when the actors were shooting inside a KSRTC bus. After the accident, the actor was first taken to a nearby hospital, from where he was later taken to Kochi for treatment.

According to the reports, after the accident, the actor will undergo keyhole surgery on his leg in a hospital in Kochi on June 26. Directed by Jayan Nambiar, the shooting of this film was supposed to be over by this month but now if reports are to be believed, Prithviraj will take a break for a few months to recover, hence the production of “Vilaith Buddha” will be temporarily halted.

Informing about Prithviraj’s accident, Sridhar Pillai tweeted, “Leading actor Prithviraj Sukumaran met with an accident on the sets of ‘Vilayath Buddha’ in Marayoor on Sunday while shooting for an action sequence. Today he will undergo keyhole surgery on his leg at a private hospital in Kochi. He will rest for a few weeks.” Apart from this film, Sukumaran will also be seen in Prabhas’ next film Salaar directed by Prashant Neel. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 28 September.
