Ingredients needed to make Rasam
Tomato – one
Rye – one teaspoon
Curry leaves – 10-15
Green chili – one
Green Coriander – Two Tablespoon
Tamarind extract – 1 cup
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida – a pinch
Dry red chili – two
Oil – two table spoon
water – three cups
salt – as per taste
Ingredients required for Rasam Masala Paste
Cumin – one table spoon
Garlic – three cloves
Coriander stem – 2 tbsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Rasam Recipe
To make rasam, first put cumin, garlic, coriander, black pepper in a mixer jar and grind them with an ackee.
Now rip the green chilies from the middle, and finely chop the tomatoes and green coriander.
Now put oil in a pan for heating.
When the oil is well heated, add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, asafoetida and curry leaves and fry for some time.
When these things are roasted well, then you also add spice paste to it, and fry for a minute.
After this, add finely chopped tomatoes, turmeric, chili and salt as per taste to the pan and mix well.
When the tomatoes become soft, add tamarind extract and 3 cups of water and mix well.
Now cover the pan and let the rasam cook for about 10 minutes.
But keep in mind that keep stirring it in between.
When it boils well, turn off the gas.
Now your Rasam dish is ready, garnish it with coriander leaves.
Now if you want, you can drink it as a soup and eat it with roti and rice.
