Ingredients needed to make rice fritters
Cooked rice – 1 cup
Gram flour – 2 cups
Grated ginger – 1/2 tsp
Onion finely chopped – 1/2 cup
Green chili chopped – 2
Green coriander finely chopped – 1/2 cup
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil – for frying
salt – as per taste
How to make rice fritters
To make leftover rice pakoras, first of all take the cooked rice in a big utensil and mash them well.
After this, add finely chopped onion, gram flour, green coriander leaves and mix them all well.
Now add grated ginger to this mixture and mix it too.
After this add spices like red chili, asafoetida, coriander, cumin powder, celery and a little salt.
Now mix this mixture well, cover it for 10 minutes and keep it aside.
Take oil in a pan and heat it until the mixture sets.
Now set the mixture once again, its solution should not be too thick nor too thin.
You put the mixture in hot oil with the help of a spoon or hand.
Then flip it with a light hand and make it golden brown from both the sides.
Keep in mind that the flame should not be too high while making pakodas, otherwise they will remain raw from inside.
Prepare all the pakoras in the same way, and take them out in a plate.
Now serve these tasty and crispy pakodas with your favorite sauce or chutney.
