Ingredients for making Kanji Vada Holi Special Drink

3 liters of water
Salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 red chili powder
3 tsp yellow mustard
grinded
1/2 cup moong dal
washed out
1/2 cup urad dal washed
2 green chilies
1 inch ginger
oil for frying
1/4 asafetida

How to make Kanji Vadas

To make Kanji Vadas, first of all make and prepare Kanji.
For Kanji, boil water in a pan and then keep it aside to cool.
When the water cools down, add all the spices like salt, red chili, turmeric, mustard powder etc. to it.
After this, pour this water in a glass utensil and keep its mouth closed with a cloth for 3-4 days.
Make preparations to prepare the vadas on the day you want to serve Kanji vadas.
For this, soak moong and urad dal for at least 5-6 hours.
After this, after separating the water from the lentils, add salt, chili and ginger to it and grind it.
Make a smooth batter by adding little water if required.

Now whisk the batter well so that it becomes fluffy and then keep it aside for 5-7 minutes.
Now put oil in a pan and put vada in it, let it puff up well.
Fry them till golden from both the sides.
Prepare all the vadas in the same way, and keep them aside.
Now take lukewarm water in a big bowl and add salt and asafoetida to it.
Soak vada dal in this water for 10 minutes.
Then put the kanji in a glass and give vada dal in it and sing to the guests.
